PRAY FOR THE LOST
We are starting an effort to mobilize the Body of CHRIST to pray for the lost that they may come to salvation in JESUS CHRIST.
First, we are inviting churches everywhere to pray for the lost in their Sunday Services on the first Sunday of each month. They may pray in any way they choose, knowing that churches all over are doing the same thing. 2026 dates will be October 4th, November 1st, and December 6th. Also, people are invited to join us for prayer every night from 6-7 PM by clicking on the Zoom Link at www.ilpraiseforce.life
Secondly, we are encouraging people to pray for the lost by name on a daily basis in their private prayer time. Using the brochure we have provided (see the PDF above), you may write down the names of people you know who need to come to JESUS. Then, you may read those names to the LORD and pray the Scriptures listed. The prayer takes about 8 minutes. We are encouraging people to be like the Luke 18 Persistent Widow and pray for their people every day until the LORD gives them a complete harvest of all the people they are praying for. We ask you, “Are you willing to invest 8 minutes each day to bring your loved ones to CHRIST?” It is a small investment for a HUGE payoff!!!
On Sunday, September 6th, 2026, we had our first “Pray for the Lost Sunday”. Three churches in Carbondale, Illinois, participated, each lifting up simple, heartfelt prayers to the LORD for the lost. The results were exciting! That day, six children repented of their sins and accepted JESUS as their LORD during Children’s Church!!! They now want to be baptized in water and are reading their new Children's Bibles! This is a wonderful “First-fruits” of the Harvest! “Unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 18:3). We are praying for the HOLY SPIRIT to continue to use our prayers to change hearts and minds. May many people come to JESUS for salvation!!! One pastor had a gentleman come into the church during the week prior to the Sunday Service and say that he wanted to raise up an ARMY to pray for the lost! WOW!!!
Would you please talk to JESUS about joining us in this effort and becoming a part of this Prayer Army? We are not asking for any money. We only ask that you print off this brochure, write in the names of people you know that need to come to JESUS, and invest 8 minutes each day into praying for their salvation. Then, would you please talk to your pastor about your church participating each first Sunday of the month in praying for the lost? Let’s be the generation who loves our neighbors enough that we will invest some of our valuable time into prayer for their eternal salvation. This is investing in Heavenly Treasures, just like JESUS taught us to do:
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be” (Matthew 6:19-21, NLT).
Someone prayed for you to come into the Kingdom of GOD. Are you willing to pass on the blessing and pray for those you know who need JESUS: your friends, family, neighbors, prodigals, and even your enemies?
